End User Control Panel Overview

The end user control panel is where you and your customers will manage their actual websites, add new domains and sub-domains, install scripts, view site statistics, create email boxes, etc.

Here is an over view of the End User control panel...

Account

Quick Access - gives you the quick access menu for the end user control panel.

Account Settings - this areas shows pertinent account information such as the login name, ftp hostname, instant alias location, and also allows end users to change their ftp password and upgrade or downgrade to a different hosting plan.

Contact Info - allows your customers to update their contact information with you.

Look and Feel - allows your customers to change the look and feel of their end user control panel from the 3 different skins (if you've allowed this in the design settings section of your Admin CP)

User

Password - here your customers can change their account (control panel and FTP) password.

Choose Account - they can select the account to enter (only if they have multiple accounts with you).

Add Account - they can add another account here.

Language - they can select the language of the control panel here.

Support Center

Knowledgebase - not currently functional.

Make a Ticket -
here they submit a support ticket to you.

Trouble Tickets -
an archive of their submitted support tickets and your replies.

FTP/User Account

FTP User - here your customers can login to their Webshell File Manager, request ssh access, change their ftp password, increase their diskspace quota for ftp, and add ftp sub-account users with their own logins. Also shows the ftp username, hostname, and home directory location.

FTP -
here your customers can setup anonymous FTP. Anonymous FTP allows Internet users to download, upload or view files in  FTP directories on the hosting server. (A dedicated IP is required for this feature).

Databases

MySQL DB's - allows you to name a MySQL database.

MySQL DB Wizard -
helps you setup the MySQL database users.

Domain Settings

Domain Info - shows the domain name(s) under your customer's account and allows them to edit and delete individual domains.

The edit domain features allow them to do tasks such as the following:

- Add a sub-domain, domain alias, or top-level domain

- Change to a dedicated IP

- View their nameservers

- View and edit DNS information such as A, MX, and CNAME
  records (careful: advanced users only)

- Create mailboxes, autoresponders, mailing lists, and access
  Webmail

- View the full path to their html directory

- Use and edit web services, such as:

  • access and enable preinstalled scripts (formmail, forum, counter, chat, and guestbook)
  • turn Front Page extensions on and off
  • Login to the Site Studio website builder
  • add an SSI alias
  • turn on SSL support 
  • edit mime types
  • turn on and edit php/cgi/perl details
  • turn on and view site statistics
  • enable error logging
  • add a custom redirect
  • add a server alias
  • enable and define directory indexing
  • view the instant alias
  • view their virtual host configuration

    (note: many of the web services above can also be accessed via the "Quick Access" menu under the "Web Options" icon)

Add New Domain - here your customers can register, add, and/or park domains (assuming you have allowed these features in the plan they are signed up to).

Traceroute - your customers can conduct a traceroute showing the connection from their location to our servers.

Submit URL's - here your customers can submit their websites to the top search engines that accept automated submissions.

Billing

Online Invoice - your customers can see their invoices from you here, review all debits and credits, and also print out invoices.

Online Sum Invoice - your customers can see a summary of all amounts charged to them here (not all debits and credits).

Billing Profile - your customers can change their payment method, or update their credit card number here.

Logout - logout for the end user control panel.
